Vancouver Moving Guides & Tips

Planning a move usually comes down to a few practical questions: what will it cost, how long might it take, what should you prepare, and what details should you tell the movers ahead of time?

Start with the details that most affect a move: the pickup and destination, date, approximate load, stairs or elevators, parking and loading access, and unusually large items. Photos can make those details much easier to evaluate.

Start with the basics

Moving rates

Our local rates depend on crew size, with a three-hour minimum. See the full pricing page for current rates, GST and additional charges.

What photos should I send?

Photos of large furniture, stairs, tight hallways, elevators and loading areas are especially useful. You can attach up to five photos with a quote request.

Moving from an apartment or condo?

Check whether your building requires an elevator reservation or has specific moving hours or loading rules. Let us know about stairs, elevators and parking when requesting your residential moving quote.

Planning by type of move

Residential Moving

For apartments, condos, townhouses and houses, share the home size, locations and access details. Plan a residential move.

Office & Commercial Moving

List the furniture, boxes, electronics or equipment being moved, and check access at both buildings. Plan a commercial move.

Packing

Decide if you need help with the whole home, selected rooms, fragile items or unpacking. See packing services.
